Woude: Singles 1979 to 1985 12"
There is  more than a little self-irony when Woude sings âold farts never die, they just turn into punksâ in Vanhat pierut (Old Farts).
The lead singer - after whom the band was named - Woude was far from the archetypal angry punk with his long hair and sunny smile, and their lyrics, now in Finnish, were more about relationships than rebellion.
Helsinki-based Woude became a kind of spokesband for their early 80âs generation. Maybe a bit softer and more romantic than many of their contemporaries, but still thoroughly cutting edge.
