Nasho: demo cassette
Demo cassette from this new Australian hardcore band featuring Bryony from Good Throb on guitar.
Our take: Demo cassette from this new Australian band featuring Bryony from Good Throb on guitar. Iâm not sure that any of the information in that previous sentence is valuable because Nasho doesnât sound particularly Australian, nor do they sound at all like Good Throb. Theyâre definitely a hardcore band, but they seem to be taking a slightly avant / artsy approach to the genre, with rhythms and harmonies that strike me as slightly askew. While Iâm not sure the reference would carry much weight outside of North Carolina, they sound a bit like Raleighâs own Essex Muro in places. Iâm also reminded a little bit of some Toxic State bands⊠like those groups, itâs clear that the members of Nasho love hardcore (or at least find something about it interesting), but arenât satisfied to simply ape the bands theyâve heard and liked.
